Teaching teenagers about human rights

Three years ago, Douglass College senior Natalie Jesionka said she noticed a lack of human rights education available to high school-aged women. To meet this need, Jesionka came up with the concept of a program that would promote human rights education and activism among members of that group.

PRIZM focuses on human rights


The PRIZM Project, founded earlier this year by Natalie Jesionka, Sumia Ibrahim and Ria Dasgupta, is a human-rights education program for 14- to 18-year-old girls.
Through free retreats, the program works to empower young women around the globe with the knowledge of human rights and the tools needed to make changes in their homes and communities.
